Cliffside Beacon

While on assignment for the Tillamook Coast Visitors Association, I documented locations along the Three Capes Scenic Loop, including the iconic Cape Meares Lighthouse. Some of my favorite images came from flying the drone out over the rugged cliffs, revealing the lighthouse perched above the Pacific in dramatic isolation.

From the air, the structure’s relationship to the coastline becomes clear, both a navigational aid and a visual anchor in an otherwise wild landscape. The resulting images highlight the enduring presence of this historic landmark against Oregon’s dynamic coastal terrain.
