Tilt-Up Monoliths

For this Prineville shoot, Pence/Kelly Concrete, llc brought me onsite to capture their team in full tilt-up action—literally. The massive concrete walls for this distribution center were poured flat into molds right on the slab, cured to perfection, and then hoisted skyward by crane. Watching these monolithic panels swing into place with surprising grace was like seeing a giant-scale puzzle snap together.

Tilt-up construction is all about efficiency, and this build was no exception. Once the walls were raised and braced, the structure took shape at lightning speed. A few hours on site felt like witnessing weeks of progress. Always impressive what the right crew and a well-timed crane can pull off.
