Capturing Coastal Elegance

I had the incredible opportunity to step behind the lens for Barnwood Naturals and MW Design Workshop, documenting a truly special furniture installation day. The setting? A breathtaking custom home on the Oregon coast, meticulously crafted by the renowned Mike Riddle Construction.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear this wasn't just any home; it was a masterclass in custom design and natural beauty. Every single room echoed with the distinct character of reclaimed woodwork by Barnwood Naturals. From the rich, textured reclaimed doors that greeted me at every turn to the intricate decorative wood paneling adorning walls, their artistry brought warmth and history into every corner. The way the natural light played across the grain, highlighting the unique stories embedded in each piece of wood, was truly captivating.

A central architectural feature that commanded attention was the magnificent spiral staircase by MW Design Workshop in the main living area. Leading down to the lower level, this staircase wasn't just a functional element; its elegant curves and robust craftsmanship created a stunning visual anchor that perfectly complemented the organic textures of the Barnwood Naturals' work.

As furniture pieces were carefully placed, the full vision of the home came into focus. With panoramic oceanside views stretching out endlessly, each of the custom tables, also crafted by Barnwood Naturals, was strategically positioned to maximize the breathtaking scenery. These stunning custom pieces allow the occupants of this beautiful space to gaze out over the iconic Haystack Rock, perfectly framed just north of Pacific City.

It was an honor to capture the culmination of such extraordinary craftsmanship. The collaboration between Mike Riddle Construction's impeccable build, Barnwood Naturals' soulful reclaimed wood and custom furnishings, and MW Designworkshop's elegant centerpiece has created a truly unique and luxurious coastal retreat. This isn't just a house; it's a testament to bespoke design, where every detail celebrates both natural beauty and unparalleled artistry.
