Room With a View
Every building has a place it belongs to. A street corner, a hillside, a river, a neighborhood that grew up around it. From the ground, that context can be hard to capture in a single frame. From a few hundred feet up, it comes into focus. This short reel gathers establishing drone shots from several projects I’ve photographed in recent months across the Pacific Northwest and West Coast, and each one shows how a project sits in its surroundings and in its moment in time.
For architects, engineers, and builders, aerial photography and video does more than look good. It shows site planning, scale, access, and how a design responds to its landscape. For businesses and industries, it sets the scene and tells people where you are before they ever arrive. As an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot, I pair aerial work with ground-level architectural photography so the full story is told, from the big picture down to the details. I count it a privilege to see these places from above and to share them with you. When the right project comes along, please feel free to reach out at info@mattswainphoto.com.
