Morning Reflections

As part of a larger video project with Sea Legs Media for a local law firm Swanson Lathen Prestwich PC, I was on assignment to capture drone footage of their Salem office building. While filming at sunrise, I couldn’t resist turning my lens toward the building’s mirrored façade. The early morning light painted the sky with rich hues, and the glass surface reflected those colors in a way that transformed the structure into a living canvas. These reflections created a dynamic interplay between architecture and nature—where the crisp lines of the office space met the fluid beauty of the sky.

Moments like this remind me why architectural photography is as much about timing as it is about design. The building itself was striking, but it was the vibrant sunrise and the way it played across the reflective surfaces that made the images truly unforgettable.
